Testimonials
"Best equine vet we've ever had. Under Carol's care our horses and ponies received excellent expert diagnosis and appropriate, effective treatment. During Covid online communication was essential for monitoring progress when our equine friends were recovering from illness and injury. Photos, videos and regular telephone conversations were held at all hours of the day and nothing was too much trouble The health and wellbeing of our animals always came first and it was a real comfort to know that we had such continuous support. I would highly recommend this service to any horse owner for the best care as well as peace of mind."

'I first met Carol a few year's ago when my horse, who was then a 3 year old, sustained a serious injury whilst she was turned out in the field. She was brilliant at diagnosing this and a pleasure to deal with, she gave me confidence and reassurance. I followed her advice with regards to her recovery and she has never had any set backs. Pimms is now one of the top working hunters in the UK having been reserve at HOYS in 2022 and this year, 2025, winning the lightweight  working hunter championship at the Royal International Horse Show and then getting reserve champion. When she told me she was leaving the vets practice I was so disappointed as Carol was the only vet that I felt happy about dealing with and I was very concerned about who I would use when she had left. I would highly recommend Carol, she is a fantastic vet.'

"Carol is simply one the best equine vets I have ever used. We have a large yard in the UK and over 130 horses from jumpers to hunter and riding school ponies. All the horses received the same standard of brilliant care and Carol's knowledge was second to none. I wouldn't hesitate to use."

'Carol previously worked for me at my mixed animal veterinary clinic in East Texas. I completely trust her judgement and decision making when caring for my clients and patients. She is a brilliant veterinarian and approaches all of her cases with compassion and the highest level of integrity. I highly recommend her!'Â

Hey there!
I'M CAROL.

“If you live right, once is enough.”
I’m Carol Cusack, an Irish equine veterinarian with over 13 years of clinical experience across some of the world’s top equine practices. After graduating from the Royal School of Veterinary Medicine in Edinburgh in 2012, I’ve built a truly global career—working in Ireland, the UK, the USA, and Australia—sharpening my skills in all areas of equine medicine, from surgery and reproduction to lameness, internal medicine, and emergency care.
My journey began in Ireland, followed by nearly a decade in the UK, where I worked in advanced equine hospitals and busy ambulatory practices. I spent a breeding season in Australia and later returned home to Ireland to join a fast-paced thoroughbred practice, where I also provided veterinary support at both flat and national hunt racecourses.
In 2022, I relocated to the U.S. with my husband and continue to provide veterinary care rooted in real-world, high-performance experience. I’m also an FEI Permitted Treating Veterinarian (PTV), and have worked at prestigious events such as Tryon and Burghley.
In every consultation, I draw from this broad and dynamic background to offer thoughtful, practical, and experienced guidance—so you can make the best decisions for your horse’s health, no matter where you are.
